Objectives
- To enable Tibetan children living abroad to join TCV Summer Camp to learn Tibetan language, culture, history and basic principles of Buddhism.
- To experience first hand the Tibetan exile community in India through visits and interaction with TCV children.
- To enable the children to get a feel of the Tibetan spirit of maintaining their identity in exile and a better sense of understanding and appreciation of the Tibetan cause and aspirations.
(As per TCV Executive Council Meeting 2009)
- The New Age Requirement is 10 years & Above
- Children under 10 years old can attend but only as day students if accompanied by their parents or relatives
- Those who're attending camp for 2nd time will have opportunity to attend Camp in TCV School Ladakh for 2010 (Depending upon the no. of enrolment)
The 2009 Summer Camp program will be held from 3rd July 2010 - 7th August 2010. From 8th August 2010, interested children will be taken for the Tso-Pema (Rewalsar) trip.

I. Weekday Programs:
This will be of two types-beginners & advanced as below:
a.Tibetan language
b. Tibetan History
c. Buddhism and Values
d. Tibetan Culture and Traditions
e. Current Tibetan Situation
II. Weekend Programs
ACCOMODATION
Accommodation of the children enrolled in the summer camp will be made within Upper TCV either separately as a group in one family home or disbursed into our different Homes. Parents wishing to make their own arrangements may also do so.
Food will be arranged in the homes where they live. They will have the same food as our children.
Fees/Costs
The total fees for a single child to attend the TCV Summer Camp Programme is US $ 350/- or Its equivalent amount. This also includes the tour to Rewalsar (Tso-Pema) at the end of the programme

Travel Assistance
If any of the parents have difficulty in reaching TCV, you can write to us for guidance and the Summer Camp Coordinator will help provide all necessary arrangements. Parents will bear the expenses incurred in arranging these.
What You Need to Bring:
During the time of Summer Camp, it will be Monsoon season with heavy rainfall most of the time. As such besides your personal items raincoats/umbrella, boots are necessary. There is no need to bring heavy or warm clothing.
